The Biggleswade town centre strategy and masterplan is an important project being led by Central Bedfordshire Council.
Over the last 2 years the Council has been working with and listening to a range of partners including the Town Council, Chamber of Trade and the local population to deliver a high quality Town Centre Strategy and Masterplan for Biggleswade.
The Strategy and Masterplan will identify, promote and guide new retail and housing led development opportunities in Biggleswade Town Centre. It will ensure that change and improvements are co-ordinated, including the delivery of infrastructure and public realm enhancements. It will have the status of a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) within the Central Bedfordshire (North) Local Development Framework.
A draft town centre strategy and masterplan has now been prepared. Formal public consultation on this document began on Wednesday 23rd February and concluded on Wednesday 30th March.
The representations recieved during the consultation period have now been reviewed. Please see menu items above for details. For any queries please contact the project team also using the menu above.
